“For the first time this season we had a full strength squad, with players coming back from injuries and holidays. The work rate was phenomenal, and players who joined last month are starting to step up as they are getting familiar with Futsal.”

This season hasn’t been an easy one for Bath and results have been hard to come by, with only one win in the league. They have had a change in management with the club going through a period of restructuring to make sure Bath have a national Futsal team for years to come.

The victory won’t go to the team’s head though with Whittaker ensuring his players are focused for the next game. “It is only the first game, and we have 5 more so it’s important we work hard at training and keep this consistent squad which has the potential to go far. We travel to Stockport Sunday which will be a tough test as we face another div 1 squad, but we believe in ourselves and have a great team spirit.”
