Battle of the Paddle Winter 2016

Battle of the Paddle is back

Battle of the Paddle winter series is back after popular demand. Dylan Pepler & James Strickland have teamed up again to organise the 2016 winter series.

“We are looking forward to our third series of Battle of the Paddle, which has gone from strength to strength since our inaugural event in November 2014. Having learnt from the previous series’ we have tweaked a few things to improve the experience for those involved” said Dylan.

“We continue to be overwhelmed by the support from Bristol businesses with over 30 teams entering our Summer Series, we want to build on this and aim to have 50 teams enter come the end of January.”

These are ambitious plans for a winter league and will force the founders of this social table tennis league to become a lot more organised. In the summer teams could organise to play each other on any of the outdoor or indoor tables around Bristol.

Dylan has now got more regular sessions in mind. “We will be meeting up every second Wednesday with the last Wednesday of the month being hosted at a different venue, so plenty of table tennis to be played over the coming months”.

The competition won’t be restricted to those players who have played league table tennis before. “Our aim for the Winter Series is to make it more inclusive for players of all abilities, so if you have just picked up a paddle come and join us.”

Momentum Financial Technology have been on of the first companies to sign up this series. Dylan is also please to announce that they have secured sponsors again. “Blackstar Solutions and PeopleGoal are onboard as our sponsors and we thank them for their continued support of Battle of the Paddle.”
