Purnell effort wide after good build up from Curnock and a dummy from Ollis.

The break through finally came for the home side at around the 76th minute mark. Brown touches back to Ollis, who had the time to measure a cross. He delivers on the left which finds Daniel Spill to head home inside the 6 yard box.

Clark was tested again in the Keynsham goal from 16’s long ranged effort, but then there was a flash point for the referee to contend with.

In the last ten minutes there was an altercation between a Devizes midfield and Keynsham’s centre back Mike Grist. There was a committed challenge between the pair and Grist got up and reacted, causing both sets of players to rush in. It resulted in a yellow card for Grist, who is lucky to escape without a red card.

The game then fizzled out in the final few minutes with Devizes attacking more but Ollis tests the keeper in the last chance of note in the game.

A few flash points at the end but a good 3 points for the home side, which was deserved on the balance of play. Devizes were forced back for long periods throughout the game due to Keynsham’s attacking pressure, defending from the front line.
