Bath TTL 2018-19 Week 16

Games are coming thick and fast in 2019 so let’s look at all of the action in the Premier League, Division One and Division Two.

It was all home wins in the Premier League in the first week of January. Chippenham A go top with a 30-2 win against Oldfield B; Gary Baldwin getting MOTM. Chippenham’s B team did them a favour by beating Oldfield A 28-12 which drops them to second place.

The Kashdan brothers secured maximums as Bathford B shock their A team 25-12. This win means the B team overtake their A team, moving up to fourth place.

Oldfield C and Bath Invaders also pick up important wins to put points between them at the bottom three. Sasidharan Anandraj and William Guibarra gain 9 points each as Oldfield C beat Chippenham C 28-10. The Invaders had Raymond Hall and Wayne Coombes with maximums as they beat Yatton Keynell A 28-7.

There were wins for the top five teams in Division One with Radstock A leading the pack. Derek Landricombe and Phil Ware had maximums as Radstock beat their B team 29-7.

Second placed Key Centre A won 26-8 away to Bear Flat A with good performances from Brent Pollard and George Pickering. Alan Papier and Martin Moore lead the line for Bitton as they won 27-12 away to Oldfield D.

Chippenham D also had two star performers in Ben Greene and Steve Deeble winning 27-10 at Yatton Keynell B. Ian Clark was MOTM for Ensleigh A, winning 21-12 against Yatton Keynell C.

In Division Two Batheaston A beat their B team 27-10 to keep their 100% record going, Gary Sartain with nine points. 44 points behind in second place Key Centre B secured an overall maximum 30-0 win away at Yatton Keynell D.

Mayfield continue their good form with Nigel Woolley and Reg Morris scoring well to overcome Bathford D 28-8. There was a rare draw with Bear Flat B holding Radstock C 19-19; Ian Pennington getting MOTM for the visitors.

Elsewhere Oldfield E claimed an away victory over Ensleigh B 21-15, despite Phil Taylor’s maximum for the home side. Finally John Hunter inspired his Bear Flat C team to a 23-15 victory against Chippenham E.
