Bath TTL 2018-19 Week 19

Plenty of shocks in this week’s report – enjoy!


Premier Division

Chippenham A recorded another win at the top of the league, 30-2 against Bath Invaders B. Gary Baldwin claimed MOTM with Terry Parkins and Rick Jemmott also gaining 9 points each.

Chippenham B also picked up a home win in a very strange game against Bathford A. Both team could only field 2 players each with Andy Cox and Scott Cooper recording maximums to win 21-12.

This has been an all too common occurrence this season throughout the leagues this season despite good numbers of social players recorded throughout the South West.

At the other end of the table there were wins for Oldfield C and Yatton Keynell A as both teams look to keep above the two relegations places.

Sasidharan Anandraj was MOTM for Oldfield C in a shock win 22-13 against their B team. In Yatton’s game they also pulled off a shock against Bathford B, 22-19. Josh Kashdan claimed MOTM for Bathford.


Division One

The top three teams won again with the top two starting to break away. Radstock A dropped just three points as they ran out 27-8 winners against Oldfield D, Julie Taylor picking up the only win for Oldfield.

Key Centre A recorded a near perfect performance beating Yatton Keynell C 30-3. Brent Pollard was the pick of the bunch getting the MOTM award. Third placed Bitton put distance between fourth as they won 25-11 away to Bathford C, Chris Toft getting a maximum.

The only other game recorded in time was Ensleigh A’s 26-11 win against Chippenham D. Ping Zhang claimed MOTM with nine points for the home side, with Chippenham only being able to get two players to travel.


Division Two

Batheaston A’s lead at the top of league is cut to 35 points. This is still a huge gap but their unbeaten run has come to an end as Bear Flat B won 22-18 with another inspired Tim Cahill performance.

Second placed Key Centre B won 25-7 against Oldfield E, MOTM going to Dave Carter with Ricardo Perpetua also gaining 9 points.

There was movement below after Radstock C dropped to fourth place despite a 29-9 win away to Ensleigh B. Paul Crocker and MOTM Paul Gray secured maximums.

Bathford D recorded a solid away win with a 25-9 win against two man Yatton Keynell D. Mark Davis was MOTM with nine points for Bathford as they put more distance between them and the bottom three.

Finally Bear Flat C also gained a valuable away win against Batheaston B. John Hunter lead the way for this away side but he was ably supported by Jon Hunter and an inform David Naismith.
