Chippenham D 16 – 20 Radstock A

Radstock B 23 – 13 Yatton Keynell C

Oldfield D 8 – 30 Key Centre A

Yatton Keynell B 22 – 17 Bear Flat A

Radstock A secured promotion with their hard fought win over Chippenham D. However they had to play well as they met an inform Ben Greene, but Radstock won the last singles and won a 5 set doubles to win.

Key Centre A look set to join them after an important maximum against Oldfield D, Brent Pollard getting MOTM. This all buts relegates Oldfield as they only have one game to play and are 17 points from safety.

Bottom side Bathford C picked up some points against an inform Ensleigh A side but will realistically need two big wins to overtake Yatton Keynell C, to avoid relegation. Colin Thomas’ maximum helped the cause for Bathford but Yatton also picked up points against Radstock B.

The other game was a tight win for Yatton’s B side as they defeated a tricky Bear Flat A side at home. Both teams will be enjoying another season in Division One next year and will look to finish as high up the table as possible. The pick of the games was Alasdair Hulbert’s 3-2 win against Paul Green, coming back from two sets down.

Bear Flat C 16 – 23 Key Centre B

Bear Flat B 25 – 7 Yatton Keynell D

Batheaston A have all but won the Division with another win, making it 19 from 20, as they defeated Oldfield E at home. Lee Bailey did cause problems for the home as he took home the MOTM for this Oldfield side but overall the table toppers were too strong.

Key Centre B almost came unstuck away to a consistent Bear Flat B side, as they are firmly looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack for promotion. John Hunter was MOTM for the home side but the away side all scored well to gain the victory in the end.

This throws open the promotion race even more now with Bear Flat B, Mayfield and Radstock C all gained two points on the Keynsham side.

Bear Flat B defeated an increasingly difficult Yatton Keynell D side. However fielding 3 players has been a problem all season for the bottom placed side as they travelled with two again. Young Tim Cahill defeated Wilf Adams in straight sets to get MOTM for the home side.

Mayfield also had to be at their best against a steady Ensleigh B team. Nigel Woolley gained a maximum for Mayfield with Phil Taylor gaining 7 points for the away side. Radstock C won at home as well with a tough game against Batheaston B. Paul Crocker and Simon Young were unbeaten whilst Chris Sharpe scored well for the away side.

Elsewhere an improving Chippenham E picked up their third win of the season at home to Bathford D, Steven Berry gained another MOTM.

Chippenham will have a part to play in the promotion race as they have two outstanding games against Radstock and Mayfield if they can play them in time. So there is all to play for across the division as the season’s end draws to an end.
