Fan’s View: Telford Away ’14

Bristol Rovers Fan’s View
AFC Telford United Away 1st Nov 2014

Following the impressive victory against Dorchester in the FA Cup it was crucial that the team came out fighting against a Telford side that are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the league table. It was predicted to be a tough game and it was decided on by just the one goal scored by Ollie Clarke; repeating his performance in the home game back in August scoring the only game in that game as well to win 1-0. The only disappointment was the dismissal of Andy Monkhouse for an alleged elbow going for a high ball this has since been dismissed by the FA when the club appealed against it.

I’m looking forward to Tranmere on Saturday it will be a very tough game against opposition a league above but with hosts struggling near the bottom of the table and Rovers still pushing towards the top of the conference table it promises to be a decent FA Cup clash. Rovers have signed midfielder Lyle Della-Verde from Fulham this week on a one month loan and it will be interesting to see if he features and how he plays in his first competitive match.

Best of luck to Rovers in the FA Cup this weekend, it’s a big ask to play higher league opposition but they have had a great season so far. Many thanks to Tom as well for his thoughts; what do you think about the clash? Post your views on FB or Twitter!
