King’s farewell May 2017

After writing a very stat heavy article looking at Chris King’s time at Keynsham Town FC I managed to catch up with him and he had this to say:

“The 3 years managing the first team have been a great challenge, firstly stabilising the club but then turning us into a top four side and very nearly gaining a promotion this season. We’ve built a squad that has attacking flair, can now defend and has a desire to do their very best for us and the club.

Thanks to Sean and Russ for all the help, two great blokes with lots of passion and knowledge of the game. Thanks to the players, committee and everyone who has supported us during our time in charge.”

Chris will now spend more time with his young family this summer without the stress of planning for another football season. It would be a shame to lose him from local football completely and hopefully he will be back into football management after a well earned rest.

Keynsham Town have their end of season awards night on Saturday 13th May from 7pm.

The evening is open to everyone and they hope to see as many of their valued sponsors & supporters there as possible. There will be a buffet during the evening with the bar open throughout.
