Weekend Bath based Preview
Home only 25th Oct 2014
By Mark Tanner
This weekend sees Bath City travel off to East Thurrock in the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup looking for a place in the 1st Round proper. Bristol Rovers have also entered the famous cup competition in this round and face a trip to supporters run Dorchester Town. Due to time this week I’ll just look at the home games today where you can buy tickets on the gate.
——————————————————————————————————
Bath Rugby are at home in the European Rugby Champions Cup against French side Toulouse. Tickets for this game will be limited so it’s best to get down to the Rec as soon as possible to enquire about availability. Remember you can buy your home, away and European shirt from John Moore Sports before, during and after the game.

Larkhall are at home and you can just turn up and buy your tickets on the gate. After two tough loses against Shortwood (who forced Bath City into a replay in the FA Cup) and Frome Town (who play in the league above) they are back to league action today. Bishops Cleeve are the visitors in a 3pm ko. If you’re not sure how to get there they have a very handy directions page, just open up their file to take a look!
——————————————————————————————————
Odd Down take on another local team in Bitton at home today in a 3pm ko. Again with local football you can just turn up on the day and pay. They managed a 1-1 draw last weekend when they travelled the short distance to Brislington and will have another tough game today. If they win today they can leap frog Bitton on goal difference.
——————————————————————————————————
Keynsham Town are away in a relegation 6 pointer against local rivals Roman Glass St George.
Our two featured teams have different weekends too. Avon Rugby Club travel to Chosen Hill Former Pupils who sit one place below them in the table. So a win would put some distance between them should they win today.
Bath Futsal Club are without a game for the next 6 weeks as their season takes a break. This is a great chance to heal the injuries they have and for Billy Whittaker to access his squad. Training on defensive play is high on the agenda as well as some practice games in the local futsal leagues so that they are in a better position to move up the table when it starts up again.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this weekend preview, is your team or sport covered? If not then why not? Get in touch and help promote your local club.
