Football
Bath City vs Dartford
Conference South
Twerton Park
Ko 3pm Sat 5th
Bath City look to extend their lead at the top of the table by visiting league new comers Dartford. Having been relegated from the Conference Premier last season Dartford will be looking for a quick return to non-league’s top flight this season. However an indifferent start to the season has seen them pick up 10 points and currently sit in 10th place.
Bath City will be hoping to have a full squad to pick from with players returning from injury. Chris Allen got his first appearance of the season against WSM on bank holiday Monday, whilst Ben Adelsbury got his second substitute appearance against the Seasiders. Both players have been important players for Bath over the last two seasons and the two midfielders will be hoping that their road to recovery won’t suffer any further setbacks.
Larkhall Athletic vs Banbury United
Southern League Div One
Plain Ham
Ko 3pm Sat 5th
The Larks welcome a strong Banbury United side to Plain Ham on Saturday as they chase a third straight win. Wayne Thorne’s side have shown great grit and determination already this season often coming from behind to gain a win or a draw in their last few games. Getting the points on board at this early stage will set up the club to build the momentum they need to have another successful season at Southern League level.
Odd Down vs Willand Rovers
Western League Premier
Lew Hill Memorial Ground
Ko 3pm Sat 5th
Odd Down at home means the entire City based football teams are at home this weekend. Ray Johnson will be looking for performances from his two inform players, Cory and Troy Simpson, who have 5 and 4 goals respectively already this season. In a tight league keeping your goal scorers fit will be vital with 5 teams are already within 2 points at the top of the table at this early stage.
Radstock Town vs Keynsham Town
Western League Div One
Southfields Recreation Ground
Ko 3pm Sat 5th
Chris King will be hoping his young Keynsham side will start to pick up some away wins this season after their hard fought 3-3 draw against Wells City at home on Tuesday night; coming back from 3-1 down. Having made his team harder to beat this season and currently holding an unbeaten home record King will be keen to add points on the road early in the season.
Keynsham will be waiting on the fitness of Stefan Lee, Nathan Curnock, Jamie Noble and Thomas Johnson before travelling the short distance to Radstock.
Rugby
Avon Rugby vs Wellington
Tribute Western Counties North
Hicks Field
