BDTTL Summer League July 15th 2018

Bath and District Table Tennis
Summer League 2018

These are the latest standings following the 8th round of fixtures tonight.

Batheaston Braves preserved their unbeaten record and their lead in the table with another convincing win, this time over Dawn’s Divas. Phil Taylor continued his excellent form with another maximum and Phillip Gentle also contributed 3 wins.

Dawn’s Divas 2  points was however enough to lift them from the foot of the table.

A significant move by Nietzsches Nightmares now sees them breathing down the neck of the leaders in second place. Their excellent 9-0 win over Keep Paddling was their second clean sheet of the campaign. Andrew Cobb, Steve Doidge and Jon Turner all scored maximums.

The result was perhaps a bit harsh on Keep Paddling who fought hard throughout but the defeat relegates them to the foot of the table at present.

A good win by Ursa Major over the Mendip Lambs, despite an excellent maximum from Chris Bennett, sees them move up to 3rd at the expense of Keynsham TT Club who nevertheless stayed in touch after a narrow win over Oldfield which went down to the last match.

Lee Bailey was in great form for Oldfield winning all his games.
