The annual Bath Design World Cup took place on August 10th 2014 at the Monkton Combe cricket grounds. Despite a forecast of heavy showers and warnings, the football tournament went ahead with plans and were rewarded with a mix of sunshine and August heat with heavy winds and rain to cool off the players.

The Bath Design World Cup is a tradition that has been around for years. It invites local design agencies and long-term fans to play in a tournament of five games, representing a country. The games then descend into semi-finals and finals to gain a winner. A total of 12 teams entered this year with families and supporters coming to cheer on the teams and have fun with the bouncy castle, garden games and the giant water slide. There was also a barbecue and drinks by The Porter on hand for refuelling players and friends.
