Planning ahead for 2015/16 season
Bath Futsal Club Manager, Billy Whittaker, has had a busy summer ahead of Bath Futsal’s 3rd season in the National League. Billy has added to his backroom staff, playing squad and organised their pre-season fixtures.
Billy was quick to add Tim Wells to his coaching team; with Tim helping with the administration side too. Mazeie Phillips soon joined as the club’s Physio for the 2015/16 season; with previous experience with local football and rugby teams. M Tanner Sports have officially linked up with the club to help with their social media and website. So the backroom staff has increased ready to support Billy in this new season so he can concentrate on getting the best out of his players.
Most of last season’s squad have reported back to pre season already with some new additions added this week. Firstly Max Weston has signed on from Team Bath. Billy has this to say about his new man “his experience from playing in the National League and Super League will be valuable to the squad”.
Jez Vernaeve is their second official signing of the new season. Vernaeve has been involved with the England Partially Sighted team over the last 5 years. He already has National League experience with Hereford and Gloucester and will be excellent addition to the squad. Billy is set to announce three more signings over the weekend which will help make Bath more competitive.
Pre season fixtures are also out with some tough opposition for the club:
9th August round robin fixtures in Cardiff – vs Cardiff and Gloucester
23rd August Away to Southampton Saints Foundation: who compete in NL south division
These fixtures should set up club well for another hard season in the National League. Billy and team will be training at Hayesfield school every week and will play all of their home fixtures there for the 2015/16.
