Bath City are delighted to welcome vastly experienced left back Kevin Nicholson to Twerton Park for the 2015/16 season. Having had a long football league career with Notts County, Scarborough, Torquay United; also with Conference Premier Forest Green Rovers and more recently Kidderminster Harriers he will bring a steady head to the City back line.
Nicholson also pointed out on twitter that he was capped 8 times by the England C team (this is the non league national side). He also spoke exclusively to bathcityfc.com about his ambitions this season:
Kevin said “At this stage of my career all that matters is going for promotions, cup runs and success on the pitch. I want to work my way up the leagues again while I feel I have the quality and the fitness levels to play higher and, I’ve seen enough from the players and staff at Bath to believe we have a chance of doing that, so I am very happy to sign and hope, along with the rest of the players, that I can give the fans plenty to shout about this season.”
We spoke to a Harriers fan to get an instant reaction to Bath’s latest addition:
“Great signing, brilliant clubman and person, just a shame with our budget and how far away he lived we couldn’t keep him. Bags of experience and left foot like a wand. Always gives 100%. Will be a fans favourite for you!”
He has stood out in the 3 friendly games he has played in and actually signed on before the Hallen friendly on the 18th July.
